Chera Dip is an extension of the only coral island of Bangladesh i.e. St. Martin’s Island. It is the southernmost part of Bangladesh. It is a small island but full of alluring beauty. The coral, the Bay of Bengal and crystal clear water of this island is the main attraction of this island. There is a small area at the middle of the island which is surrounded by some bushy trees. This is the only green part of the island. This increases the beauty of this island.
From the main land of St. Martin’s Island, a traveler can go there on foot or by engine boat or by speed boat. The distance of the island from the main jetty is roughly 6 km. If anyone tries to go there on foot then the time of high water and ebb must be considered as some part of the trail will be under water at the time of high water. This island has no residence but there are some shops who sell various kinds of sea fishes, crabs, shrimps and coconut for the tourists. It is better to leave the island before sundown.
