Taguar Haor, also known as "Tangua Haor" is the second largest haor in Bangladesh after Hakaluki Haor. This haor is located in the Dharmapasha and Tahirpur upazilas of Sunamganj District with a total area of 100 sq km which includes 46 villages and 120 beels of various size. Around 200 types of migratory birds come to this haor every winter season and build their fleeting territory over there. This is an ideal place for these birds which is the main attraction of this tourist spot. The haor is another most important source of fisheries and more than 150 species of fresh water fishes are available here.
