Birishiri, one of the popular tourist spots of Bangladesh is located at Durgapur, the northern most upazilla of Netrokona district. The main attraction of Birishiri is the ceramic hill of Durgapur and the picturesque landscape along the Shomeshwari River. This landscape blends the beauty of hill with the beauty of river. Someshwari is one of the rare hilly rivers of the country which presents a huge amount of undulating stones. The color of the ceramic hill makes Birishiri colorful and the amazing color of the lake of the ceramic hill will present you a new taste of color. The Garo Pahar of Netrokona is the home of Garo Tribal Group. There is also an ethnic museum at Birishiri. This is the only ethnic museum of the country. In the rainy season, one can have a nice launch journey to Sunamgonj from Kalmakanda Upazilla.
