Sundarban, the largest Mangrove forest in the world and home of Royal Bengal Tiger is the highest rated tourist attraction in Bangladesh and both Bagerhat and Satkhira known as the gateway of Sundarban.

Bagerhat, located in south-eastern part of Bangladesh is the fourth largest city with a total area of 3959.11 square kilometers. It was previously known as “Khalifatabad” or the "Mint Town of the Bengal Sultanate" and founded by General Ulugh Khan Jahan. “Mosque City of Bagerhat” is a lost city with some historical significance listed by Forbes as one of the 15 lost cities of the world with more than 50 Islamic monuments.

Shat Gombuj Masjid (Sixty Dome Mosque) mostly recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site is the largest historical mosque and most remarkable Muslim architectural structure in Bangladesh. There are actually 77 domes and 60 stone pillars in this mosque which is the most possible reason for the naming of this mosque as Sixty Dome Mosque.

Shrine of Khan jahan Ali located near Sixty Dome Mosque is another popular spot in Bagerhat. Khan jahan Ali was a Muslim Saint and local ruler in Bagerhat who also known as Ulugh Khan and Khan-i-Azam. The Khan Jahal Ali’s Tank is famous for the Marsh Crocodiles who are living in the pond for a long time!!! Tetulia Jami Mosque is another historical spot that attracts a large number of tourists every year from around the world!!!
